What happens when a local rodeo champion swings by your town? You get a day to remember! The Middlebury Boys & Girls Club welcomed 2025 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Champion and hometown hero Marcus Mast for an afternoon full of stories, fun, and a little bit of rodeo action.

Marcus had the kids hanging on every word as he talked about his 13 wild years as a bull rider. He shared the ups, the downs, and what it really takes not to get thrown off: commitment, working hard, and always believing in yourself. “Set your goals and go after them,” he told everyone.

The questions flew, and Marcus answered them all with friendly honesty, leaving everyone buzzing with new excitement about chasing dreams, even if those dreams don’t involve bulls!

Then it was time for the mechanical bull. Kids lined up, ready for their turn, and the gym filled with laughter as brave riders tried to hang on. Everyone walked away with a big dose of respect for the pros (and maybe a few wobbly legs).

Thanks to Premier Western Sports, some club members will get to see the action up close at the Blue Gate PBR Bull Fest this November.

The day was packed with smiles, stories, and the reminder that big dreams can start anywhere.
