As the holiday season approaches, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County is gearing up for an inspiring new campaign that emphasizes the power of a single act of kindness in changing the lives of local young people. “All It Takes is One” is a rallying cry for the community to come together and support the children who need it the most.

For many kids, it truly does take just one thing to make a lasting impact. Whether it’s one caring mentor, one transformative experience, or one safe place to go when school is out, these seemingly small gestures can open doors to a brighter future.

The campaign officially launches on October 1st with the installation of life-sized Blue Doors at various businesses in Elkhart County. These doors symbolize hope and opportunity for every child who walks through the doors of the Boys & Girls Clubs. Community members are encouraged to scan the QR code on the doors to take a virtual tour, make a donation, and show their support for this important cause.

“Our belief is simple: all it takes is one person, one gift, or one moment to change the life of a child,” says Launa Leftwich, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County. “With the support of our partners and generous donors, we can provide the necessary resources to help our local young people thrive and succeed.”

Throughout October and November, a series of engaging events are planned to raise funds and awareness for the Boys & Girls Clubs. From “GivesBack Nights” at local restaurants to a “Day of Giving” at a popular coffee shop, there are multiple opportunities for individuals to show their support and make a real difference.

“We invite everyone to join us in spreading the word and supporting our mission,” adds Leftwich. “All it takes is one of us to create great futures for the children in our community.”
