I recently asked our Club members what they are thankful for this year. Despite the extraordinary challenges Club kids and families have faced, their answers were full of hope.
“My kids love the Boys and Girls Club. They even ask if I will find things to do after work so they can stay longer. I can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful place where kids love to attend. Because of the Club, there’s no guilt in working late. I know my kids are having fun and are where they want to be.” – Debi, foster mom to four Club kids
Before COVID-19, life was already difficult for many of our Club kids and their families. But as jobs were cut and schools were closed, it became even more challenging.
Because of you, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County has been here to provide the seemingly simple things that mean everything to families in need, including distributing food and other necessities, providing access to WiFi and e-learning help, and extending our hours for learning and childcare.
Because you’ve been here for us, we’ve been here for them. This Thanksgiving, and always, we are thankful for you.
Sincerely,
Kevin Deary
