This season at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County has reminded me just how powerful it is when a community comes together around young people.

From a proclamation by the governor, to a decades-long holiday tradition, to a packed school gym and an airplane taking shape in our hangars, the details of each story are different, but the heart is the same. Caring adults are creating spaces where kids feel seen, supported, and inspired to dream bigger.

We have watched youth step onto new stages, whether that meant standing beside the governor, singing in front of proud families, celebrating the magic of the holidays, or rolling up their sleeves to build a real airplane. None of this happens by accident. It happens because volunteers, partners, and families give their time, talent, and resources so our members can experience safety, joy, challenge, and achievement.

As we look ahead, my hope is simple: that every child who walks through our doors continues to find a home away from home and opportunities that spark a lifetime of possibility.
