KidsCare a Division of Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County provides before- and after-school programming at school-based sites throughout Elkhart County. We have an opening for a Mental Health Specialist – Full-Time. This role will provide support to our members, parents, and staff.

JOB SUMMARY
Oversee a positive member experience by providing guidance, communication, and follow up to Members and their parents as well as our Staff. Ensure achievement of organizational philosophy using Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and/or Equivalent Certification is required. MSW preferred
- Minimum two years’ work experience in a role overseeing school-aged children in a group setting
- Experience in the mental health field preferred
- High energy, enthusiastic personality, and dependability a must
- A team player who works well with others and be willing to help where needed
- Pre-employment drug screen, background, reference, and driver record checks required
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide guidance and behavioral practices for members in grades Kindergarten through 6thGrade
- Prepare for and facilitate Youth Issues meetings as scheduled; including establishing an effective system to receive all Youth Issues paperwork from staff
- Supportive contact for all youth issues, guidance, discipline, and work contracts with members, parents, and staff
- Prepare for, schedule, and execute all parent/member meetings in collaboration with staff regarding when a member returns to the program post-disciplinary action
- Work with Supervisors and Site Staff to identify wraparound needs, member status, training needed/required, participation in staff meetings, and duties as assigned
- Work with team members regarding various programming opportunities and event needs, as assigned
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filling out reports, forms, etc., as assigned
