Build Great Futures With Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County

We’re always recruiting positive, skilled, committed volunteers. Our needs are ongoing and we have one-time and consistent volunteer opportunities in our Club settings.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have many volunteer opportunities within our Clubs that we can customize to your schedule. Clubs are typically open between 2:30 pm and 8 pm. Opportunities include engaging with Club youth through one-on-one tutoring, homework help, art projects, and recreational activities.

Current needs:
Sports Coaches

Teen E-Sports Leagues – Need adults to help run/coordinate one or two nights a week

Card Clubs – (sports cards or Pokemon)

Tutoring for Teens or Elementary for subject specific or reading

Art Assistance / Small Groups for art

Teen Cooking/Food Program

3D Printing & Design

Woodshop help for one-on-one instruction

Disc Golf Team/League

Play board games with small groups of kids

We customize one-time event opportunities to give our corporate and community partners a glimpse of what our organization is about. These opportunities include annual special events hosted by our fundraising staff and customized Club projects that fit a company’s desired volunteer request.

Customized opportunities typically last 3-5 hours and are created within the operational hours of our Club sites. Projects range from Club beautification (planting flowers, painting murals) to literacy activities with Club youth. If you are interested in volunteering for a special event or creating a one-time opportunity for your staff, please complete the Group Volunteer Inquiry Form and a member of our team will get back to you.

Youth who are under the age of 18 OR are still in high school do not need to complete a volunteer application. They must go to their local Club and complete a Club membership application. Club sites have volunteer opportunities for youth to participate in during afterschool programming and summer camp. Youth volunteers will benefit from Club programming, sports and recreation activities, youth jobs and scholarship opportunities. For more information, contact your local Club.

To ensure the safety of our members, all volunteers must complete the necessary volunteer requirements and must pass a criminal background check before having any contact with children. There are countless ways to get involved — like providing academic support, art instruction, general mentorship, coaching sports, and more. Follow the steps below to start making a difference for Elkhart County youth!
