Basketball Returns To Club

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County work hard to help our young people achieve academic success, lead healthy lives and develop good character. Activity and athletics help teach those life skills.

That’s why it is so great to see basketball return to the Clubs. The high school boys team at the Elkhart Club was recently able to scrimmage with other local non-profit organizations. The team started playing in the fall of 2019, but the games were put on hold when COVID-19 hit, so they were unable to finish their schedule.

Teens at the Goshen Club also resumed play with a friendly competition against members of The Post-Youth Center. The Middlebury Club is looking forward to being back on the court next week.

The games not only allow our kids to play basketball, but give our staff a chance to check-in with them about life and school. We’re looking forward to more games in the fall!
