Preparing Teens for Careers: No one succeeds alone

Teens joining Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County become part of a broad network of empowering mentors and coaches, alumni in desirable careers and community partners seeking future employees. They’ll develop the skills, knowledge and mindset they need to excel in the professional world.

The world of work is changing, with employees no longer staying at one company (or even in one industry) throughout their careers. Clubs equip teens with the resiliency and growth mindset necessary to learn transferable skills to successfully navigate career changes.
From kindergarten to career, being future-ready starts young
Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County are kids’ first network — the place where they meet mentors, hone their skills, ignite their interests and connect to opportunities.

Clubs prepare youth of all ages with essential skills that today’s schools and employers want, including effective communication, social interaction and problem solving.

Speakers from diverse industries. Job shadowing at local companies. Hands-on activities and job training for teens. We know it’s hard to dream something you haven’t seen, which is why career exploration is key for young people to unlock potential career paths.
