A Legacy Continues

Our Goshen Cadets were ALL smiles this Holiday Season! This was particularly true during the magical Christmas party sponsored by our amazing partners, the Fidler Family.
As a Club Partner, the Fidler Family illustrates the trifecta of true partnership, contributing Time, Talent, and Treasure. The family creates a program experience for the youngest ones at Club. They purchase the supplies and food for the event. They volunteer their time: hosting the event, coordinating the schedule, and organizing each detail. And this is not a one-off event. They have provided this experience each year for 26 years.
Lois and John Fidler started this tradition to create a meaningful experience for the Cadet Club members and for their own family’s tradition of giving back to the Community. Even after Lois passed in August 2024, the tradition continued. Joined by John and other family members, Steve and Shelly Fidler took the lead; their own grandsons served the chicken nuggets, apple slices, and Christmas cookies.
The Cadets cheered for the Goshen High School show choir as the Crimsonaires performed holiday classics. The show ended with squeals of delight as they sang Santa Claus is Coming To Town when Santa entered the room ready to receive the Cadets’ Christmas wishes. Each child received a hat and gloves, a book, and a stuffed animal to take home.
Thank you, John. Thank you, Steve, Shelly, and the rest of the Fidler Family, for your generous spirits this Season. As 2025 closes and we take collective stock of the impact we make on the lives of youth and families in our community, let’s be inspired by those who partner with Club to provide the opportunity for Great Futures. Happy New Year!
